Our Story

Brett Cameron and Deanna Marano are the founders of La Maison Fête (LMF). Brett + Deanna both ran successful event planning companies before they came together In 2013 to form LMF.   “We’re a fusion of originality and professionalism, attentiveness to people and attention to detail,” says Brett. The vision of the two working moms was to give other busy people the resources to create enduring memories through celebrations.

Within a short time, Brett and Deanna discovered they had inadvertently hit upon the missing niche in special occasion marketing: the 50-250 person event that is replete with fresh, personal concepts. The same customers who handle demanding career responsibilities, it turns out, also have high expectations when it comes to connecting with family and friends. Generic parties and outdated cookie-cutter rentals do not make the cut.  “We work with the Pinterest Generation,” says Deanna. “They’re bombarded with choices. We have to listen intently and present doable, next-level, distinctive ideas. A chance remark can be the clue to a motif for the invitations or overall theme, something that has real meaning. We execute a dream. Not our dream, their dream.”

In 2015 New York’s Westchester Magazine - in a county with upmarket residents such as Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren--recognized La Maison Fête as the best event planner in the area. “We offer the most varied collection of handpicked rentals,” says Brett.  “We scour estate sales and work with local craftsmen for one-of-a-kind accessories and tableware.  We pride ourselves on sourcing locally, whether it be commissioning bespoke furniture or handmade tablecloths from neighborhood artisans, or working with caterers who support our farmers and their products.”

In the last eight years, LMF actualized more than a hundred events. This year, La Maison Fête’s new showroom, in Bedford, New York’s town center, takes Deanna and Brett’s hospitality vision to the retail level.  The curated tableware, accessories and decorative elements reinvent home festivities, which they see as a powerful, evolving market.
